Shepherd has held executive and non-executive Director positions in several sectors including motor; media; retail; oil and gas; medical aid; manufacturing and commercial services. The organisations included both public listed and private limited.
In his business leadership and consulting career of nearly 40 years he has worked in South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique, Zambia, Rwanda, Nigeria, Namibia, Tunisia, Malawi and Australia. Some of the executive positions held are; COO of Times Media Ltd, CEO of Thebe Petroleum, MD of Shell LPG Southern Africa, MD of Egoli Gas and Executive Director of Reatile Group.
As an ardent advocate for best practice leadership across Africa he authored books in Cross-cultural leadership and Service Excellence.
