Daisy is a professional independent non-executive director since 2010 and served on listed and other boards, investment and credit committees.

She has extensive knowledge in finance, accounting, banking, investment, risk and general business. She previously was a dealmaker for almost a decade at Sanlam Capital Markets where she headed the Debt Structuring Unit. From March 2009 to May 2010, she was appointed to the sub-credit committee of the Sanlam Investment Cluster - the operational committee to consider investment into credit/fixed income assets (the Sanlam Group has more than R120bn in fixed income assets). Before that, she was a tax consultant at Deloittes, consulting mostly to financial services companies and before that was a financial planner at South African Breweries. She served her articles from 1994 to 1996 at Ernst and Young.

She is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors Southern Africa (F.Inst.D).
