Individuals who are required by law to take up membership with a professional body based on the Critical Skills Visa requirements, must meet the following member eligibility criteria in order to take out membership with the IoDSA for a period of 5 years (in line with the visa period and requirements):

• NQF Level 8 qualification (i.e. Honours degree and higher); and
  
• Be in a director (executive or non-executive) position.
  

The following documentation needs to be provided with your application:

• Certified copy of Passport
  
• Proof of directorship appointment (such as a letter of employment, employment offer, director appointment letter or CIPC registration showing clearly your position)
  
• Certified copy of NFQ 8 or higher SAQA registered qualification. Applicants with foreign qualifications must provide a SAQA Certificate of Evaluation confirming the equivalent NQF level at the time of application
  
• Business owners will need to submit their latest CIPC registration document and SARS tax clearance certificate
