Governance for NPOs

Corporate Social Investment practitioners in South Africa understand that having professional, knowledgeable, competence and dedicated directors of non-profit organisations is essential. The donor / funder community is becoming more stringent on this issue, especially when conducting their due diligence, before funding a non-profit organisation, which makes imperative that all directors have the competencies to meet these expectations.

Corporate governance in the “Third Sector” is, therefore, a priority area to be developed in South Africa. This one day programme is aimed at equipping owners and directors of not for profit companies with an overview of governance and how it relates to their environment.
