As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Executive: Finance & Operations (EFO) will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The EFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, costing, legal, and property management as well as oversight of key operational and IT related functions.




  • Oversee the over all aspects of financial management at the IoDSA
  •  Ensure credibility of Finance function by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts and reporting to CEO, on a regular basis, progress against plan and reasons for material variances
  • Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks
  • Oversee contracts management
  • Oversee the IoDSA investment portfolio


  • Develop, establish, and direct the execution of operating policies to support overall IoDSA objectives.
  • Initiate improvements to document management system and databases on regular basis
  • Oversee risk management, control testing and compliance for the IoDSA
  • Annually review and enhancement of BBBEE accreditation scorecard and requirements
  • Oversee the implementation and monitoring of Occupational Health & Safety requirements and chair of OHS Committee
  • Oversee the implementation and monitoring of business continuity plans and processes 
  • Oversee Company Secretariat function and coordination of outsource Co Sec solution
  • Manage Human Resources in accordance with policies, procedures and legal requirements, including:
  • Recruitment, hiring and compensation
  • Benefits administration and oversight
  • Training and development, including new employee orientation
  • ·         Enhancement of IoDSA Performance Management processes including development and monitoring of:
  • Key Performance Areas
  • Personal Development Plans
  • Oversee the implementation and monitoring of Seta annual reporting (WSP & ATR) 
  • Implementation, monitoring and reporting on IoDSA IT governance framework
  • Monitoring and enhancement of IT support services and policies
