Overview 

King IV Principle 14 states that "The governing body should ensure that the organisation remunerates fairly, responsibly and transparently so as to promote the achievement of strategic objectives and positive outcomes in the short, medium and long term".

Governing bodies often appoint a remuneration committee to assist them meet these and other requirements. Companies listed on the JSE are required to appoint a remuneration committee as are certain categories of state owned enterprises. Other organisations often do so voluntarily.

The purpose of this one day course is to help remuneration committees become fully effective in all aspects of their mandate.
