Overview

Delegates attending this one day programme will gain exposure in understanding the fundamentals of corporate governance, strategy development, the use of financial statements and the management of cash flows to ensure a sustainable future for their organisation. Understanding the core business of the company helps in determining the core competencies required to establish and grow the business.

From a technical perspective the programme aims to equip SME entrepreneurs, Owner Managers, Managing Directors and other Senior executives about how to develop other commercial fundamentals and integrate good business and good governance principles into their growing business.

  • Identifying the core business of a company as well as the core skills to achieve these business objectives
  • Companies Act, King III and governance as it applies to SMEs’
  • Strategic simplicity (simple overview of the critical elements for a strategy)
  • Understanding Financial Statements, Business controls (working capital, Gross Margins, Expense to sales etc.) and CASH FLOWS.
  • Integration of topical strategies that can enhance the effectiveness of the business drivers such as the power of social media.

Ralph holds a Masters of Business Leadership degree. He is an Independent Non-Executive Director and serves on boards as Chairman of Audit Committees, Chairman of Remuneration Committee and is a member of the Risk Committee and Social and Ethics Committee.
