How to Build Business Success through Effective Relationships
It is now widely recognised that quality of relationships with stakeholders is a major determinant of corporate success and profitability. It is quality of relationships with stakeholders, rather than technology, which is the key to long-term competitive advantage
as well as control of risk.
Dr Schluter will introduce some fresh ideas about how to understand and build effective relationships, and explore how these can be embedded most effectively into the structure
and working practices of companies. He will also show the application of these ideas to life outside the office.
About the presenter:
Michael Schluter worked as an economist with the World Bank and the International Food Policy Research Institute in East Africa before founding the Jubilee Centre in Cambridge as
a Christian think tank in 1983. He has launched six other charities, including Citylife and the Relationships Foundation, and has written several books including The R Factor (1993), Jubilee Manifesto (2005) and The Relational Manager (2009).
He currently works for Relationships Global across Africa, Asia and North America.
In September 2009, Michael addressed the Institute of Directors of Southern Africa Annual Conference on the subject of 'The Relational Company'. He is an experienced speaker who has addressed audiences all over the world, and was awarded a CBE in the Queen’s New Year honours in 2009.
