Background:

UNISA research project “Research on Audit Committees South Africa (RACSA)” is conducting research in evaluating effectiveness of audit committees in different sectors. The research is led by Professor Philna Coetzee, the deputy Executive Dean of the College of Accounting Sciences (UNISA) and supported by National Treasury.


We are inviting the relevant municipality stakeholders to participate in the focus group study to give their perspectives about the effectiveness of audit committees in South African municipalities.

Focus group 1: Participants 


The following municipality stakeholders are invited to attend the focus group-former & current municipal stakeholders:

Council members, Municipal Managers, Chief Financial Officers, Chief Information Officers, Risk Officers, Head of Supply Chain Management, Head of Human Resources, other municipal senior managers, members of the Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC), CAEs /Internal Audit managers, the Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA), National/ Provincial Treasury, The South African Local Government Association (SALGA), and the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA).
