A candidate that has successfully completed all three components of the Chartered Director Evaluation Programme will be recommended by the Chartered Director Governing Body for certification.
The certificate confers the candidate the right to append the letters "CD(SA)” after his or her name subject to the maintenance of the CD(SA) status requirements. A designee is required to maintain their status by ensuring that:
- The CPD requirements for the CD(SA) are met;
- The CD(SA) subscribes to the Code of Professional Conduct (as prescribed by the IoDSA); and
- Maintain membership of the IoDSA.
Failure to comply with these requirements will result in the forfeiture of the CD(SA) designation. The name of the individual will be removed from the CD(SA) register.
The certificate remains the property of the IoDSA and is returnable on cession of membership or termination of the Chartered Director status.
Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
Requirements are detailed in the CPD Guidelines for CD(SA).
These activities will be monitored and managed by the IoDSA annually. CD(SA)s must familiarize themselves with the requirements pertaining to each of these requirements.
It is the responsibility of the CD(SA) to ensure that all contact details on the IoDSA database are current and correct.
IoDSA cannot accept responsibility for a CD(SA) not fulfilling these requirements should communications not reach the individual due to incorrect information on the database.
