The Mentoring circles is a group mentoring initiative facilitated by the IoDSA, for aspiring and experienced directors. The aim of these 3 hour sessions are to offer directors (the mentees) feedback and guidance from seasoned directors (the mentors), on the personal and social competencies outlined in the  Director Competency Framework.

An honest conversation about what directors get paid for

Remuneration for directors is a challenging topic. Considering the responsibilities and liabilities of directors, what constitutes "appropriate” remuneration could be widely argued. Aspects such as adequate preparation for board meetings, robust engagement and decision-making in line with the stakeholder inclusive model have to be incorporated when judging director performance, and consequently, remuneration.
