Meeting and Training Rooms

Members now have access to board, training and meeting rooms at the IoDSA offices in Sandton.

The following is offered:

  • 20 seater corporate boardroom for large meetings – includes proxima, screen and flipchart
  • 8 seater open library for smaller meetings
  • 2 x 4 seater meeting rooms
  • 1 x 20 seater training room
  • 1 x 12 seater training room
  • (Rooms can open to 1 x 30 seater room – includes proxima, screen & flipchart)
  • 60 seater dinning area

Booking for a Meeting or Training Room

Members are welcome to stop by the IoDSA offices to make use of the casual seating area for a quick cup of tea/coffee to pass time between meetings in Sandton, however please call ahead to ensure that no functions are taking place.

SAIPA Public sector Workshop in conjunction with Protect-A-Partner

Introduction to Generally Recognised Accounting Practice (GRAP)Section 216 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa introduced generally recognised accounting practice for the public sector and the Accounting Standards Board (ASB) issues Standards of GRAP in accordance with national legislation.  But what is GRAP? Who must apply it? What is the impact on the financial statements?  This 1-day workshop provides the participant with a high level overview of GRAP, with focus on certain “contentious” concepts and standards.

The workshop covers:

• The GRAP financial reporting framework, implementation dates and applicable entities
• High level review of GRAP standards and IGRAPS
• Application of ASB directives and guidelines
• Principles set out in the ASB FAQ’s
