Forums & Committees

The IoDSA's approach to sound governance is that it should not be pursued for its own sake but to enhance the value and performance of business and sustainable development. To come to grips with how this is executed and practical implications the IoDSA has, in conjunction with various collaborators, established a number of forums that serve as hubs for corporate governance professionals to combine their knowledge and experience in order to raise awareness, stimulate dialogue and provide guidance on governance matters.

The research, discussions and debates at these forums culminate in the publishing of practical insights on pertinent governance matters in the form of position papers. Each of the following forums have a specific focus area:

  • Audit Committee Forum (sponsored by KPMG);
  • Sustainable Development Forum (sponsored by Standard Bank);
  • Corporate Governance Network which caters for both private and public sectors through the respective working groups (sponsored by PwC); and
  • Public sector Audit Committee Forum (sponsored by National Treasury)

The issuing of position papers by these forums is done in such a manner as to create opportunities for discussion with a wider audience on specific topics.
