A key objective of the IoDSA is to raise professional standards of directors both in the public and private sectors and help them attain high levels of expertise and effectiveness by improving their knowledge and skills. The IoDSA worldwide sets standards for the qualification and behaviour of directors and for the conduct of the boards on which they serve.

Delivery Options
The IoDSA presentations are facilitated workshops that encourage participation and knowledge sharing.
Open Sessions
These sessions are scheduled throughout the year and are open to all. Participants are from a diverse range of organisations and the open programmes offer the opportunity for new perspectives and learning from your peers.
Confidential In-Boardroom Sessions
Many organisations recognise the value of director development and board learning for their businesses. The IoDSA receives an increasing volume of requests to host presentations for boards or selected participants as in-house initiatives. The IoDSA concluded over 300 presentations for organisations and in many cases have developed a long-term director development offering with these organisations, incorporating some of the Board Services. This in-boardroom approach ensures that the organisation addresses critical issues relevant to their own circumstances, in a confidential environment facilitated by the IoDSA as an independent party.
