Social & Ethics Committees

In association with:

The Companies Act of 2008 requires that the Boards of all listed public companies, state owned enterprises (SOEs) and companies with significant public interest should have a social and ethics
sub-committee. This emphasizes that companies have a significant social impact on the societies in which they operate. They thus have to be responsible corporate citizens – as stated in the fourth King Report on Corporate Governance. This workshop will explore how social and ethics committees should operate and how they could fit into the overall
corporate governance strategy of a company.
